In 1992, Carlos and Camila traveled to Buenos Aires and fell in love with a small hotel where the attention was meticulous and they were made to feel at home. Motivated to replicate this experience, they gathered a group of friends and family and began building such a dream in Bogotá.

Camila, from an early age had great contact with decor, art and antiques. Her mother worked in an antique shop and was very knowledgeable about the history and memories inspired by furniture, ornaments and works of art of different origins, cultures and eras.

Since its founding, the Hotel Portón de la Cabrera has been accumulating assets from different cultures that tell stories and make it a memorable place.
